The present energy system is based on a non
closed cycle. It uses fossil energy resources which are being
depleted fast and leaves non re-usable products in the
atmosphere, causing serious and even irreversible damage to the
earth, air and water. All these problems are threatening the future mankind energy security and prosperity.
Many scientists and experts agree that these
global problems would be resolved by replacing the existing
energy system by the one based on a closed cycle.
In this context, the use of an energy carrier
like hydrogen seems to be the most attractive way for the near
future to achieve no/less consumption of natural energy
resources and no/less CO2 emissions.
Following the successful conferences in Alger
in 2005 and Ghardaïa in 2007, the CNRST looks forward to welcoming
you to Rabat (Morocco) for the attending to the 3rd International
Hydrogen Workshop in 2009.
The scientific programme will focus on
research activities, significant
technology breakthroughs, opportunities and sources for funding, in addition to potential
barriers in the following areas:
- Hydrogen production (Renewable energies…).
- Hydrogen storage and transport.
- Hydrogen utilisation technologies
- Hybrid systems.
- Hydrogen Economy.
The Workshop will also feature speakers from
around the world who will address scientific, technological,
societal, and economic implications of the emerging hydrogen
economy.
We look forward to seeing you in Rabat in
October 2009.
GENERAL INFORMATION
The Conference will
include plenary lectures, oral presentations and posters. A social
program is planed in the region of Rabat.
CONTRIBUTED PAPERS AND PROCEEDINGS
The contributed papers
for oral and poster presentations will be published in the Conference
Proceedings.
Selection of contributed
papers will be based on the abstracts. Detailed information for abstract
presentation will be given in the next announcement.
Publication of the best submitted papers
At the request of the Chairman of the Permanent Committee of the International
Workshop on Hydrogen, the President of the International Association for
Hydrogen has undertaken to publish the best papers submitted to this
Workshop in the "International Journal of Hydrogen Energy".
